The Ride Removable Airbag System (R.A.S.) is Mammut's absolute all-rounder backpack that integrates removable balloon flotation. The Ride Removable Airbag is ideal for all-mountain and freeriding. It comes complete with functional features and is very comfortable to carry. As well as freeriding, the Ride Removable Airbag is also perfect for one-day ski or snowboard tours.

It allows the user to independently install the system in a removable airbag-compatible backpack and remove it as required. This allows you to use the Ride backpack either with the airbag system (e.g. freeriding) or without (e.g. for a day on secured trails). It also allows you to always select the ideal backpack for each application. The same airbag system can be used each time. • Snowpulse Mammut Airbag Technology: The functioning of the avalanche airbag is based on the physical principle of "inverse segregation." This sorting effect means that in an equally moving mass of particles, the smaller particles gravitate to the bottom while the larger ones rise to the surface. The avalanche airbag increases the wearer's wearer's volume, significantly boosting this effect.
